Senior Cycle

In Temple Carrig School we offer our students a wide range of subjects at Leaving Certificate level. All students will study their 3 core subjects; English, Irish, and Maths. In addition to this students can choose to take an additional 5 option subjects. The optional subjects on offer are:

In Temple Carrig School students have the option to undertake an optional 8th subject for their Leaving Certificate. While there are advantages to this, students must think carefully about this choice. The 8th subject is an opportunity for students to gain "extra" points. All subjects that are in the extra 8th band will only have 3 periods a week, therefore there is an onus on students to take responsibility of their learning.
